Whatever we have in the Memorial Garden makes them (and the bee keeper who keeps hives on site) very happy! But we will be happy to add to the list. Looking forward to reading more 🙂

You read my mind. I’ve already purchased seeds to create a wonderful garden for my bees.

Thank you for this useful post and your energetic scouring of catalogues! Look forward to what you find and how that translates to what I might plant here in the south of France. Long Live the Queens!

I don’t mind admitting that I’m rather uncomfortable around bees. Unlike dogs or cats, etc., they’re not cute and cuddly; instead, they’re usually bristled and seething. But, of course, I do appreciate their importance to the ecosystem; the fine work of beekeepers like yourself is highly commendable.

    • To most of us beekeepers, bees have their cute and cuddly moments. You’ve probably never seen baby bees take their first tentative flights. Adorable. But then I think bats are adorable too!
Thank you for your kind words. I can hardly wait for bee season!!

Will try again this year. I planted a bee- friendly garden last year – lavender, sunflowers etc, but they all came to nothing with the constant rain!
