Yes, I took those pictures last evening. It’s been an unbelievable spring!
Thanks for the compliment! I owe it all to 40 bags of mushroom compost… 🙂
Beautiful! So amazing, and it’s only April. If that gigantic hosta becomes missing, you’ll know where to come looking for it. What’s the name of it by the way?
That’s high praise coming from a great gardener such as yourself. Thanks!
The hosta is called Blue Angel and it’s healthy as a horse. It’s not even fully grown! 🙂
Ha! Back atchuh man!
So that is what a Blue Angel looks like, Wow. I have a couple in pots awaiting their corner. Something to look forward too. How old is yours?
P.S. your plant is safe from my thieving ways, at least for the time being.
A grouping of three would be stunning. I’ve always wanted to do that in an area at the bottom of my back garden which I affectionately call the “Shady Clay Hole.” I don’t think hosta would even grow there though. 🙂
Thank you! I do love to spend time there, even when I’m not weeding or digging.
By the way, I’m going to be in London from June 21-26 and would love to see you and Emma. Maybe a trip to the Apiary?
Deborah, I can’t believe how beautiful your garden is for this time of the year. Does it always look like that in April. I was just up at our cottage in Maine and only a few things are barely popping their heads up. My garden there won’t look like yours for months.
Thanks, and no, it doesn’t usually look like this in April. Most years we have frost and sometimes even snow right up until May.
This is an unusually beautiful spring, and as a result I am a planting fool! 🙂
That makes sense…my apple trees are all in bloom a month early. We have had snow on the ground at this time of the year as well in previous years. Your garden is out stand and your hard work really shows.
Thanks so much! It’s been cool here for the last few days – 35 or so at night – and I’ve been holding my breath. I even brought my composting worms inside because I was afraid they would freeze. Next week I’ll relax… 🙂
Wow! Your garden is so pretty and really blooming. Mine are a little behind yours. My hostas have come in and other greenery, but not many flowers, yet.
Looks gorgeous!
Thanks! I can’t believe it’s still April!
Garden envy strikes again x
You are so sweet! 🙂
Is all of that really blooming now where you live? I am so jealous! However, you are a gardener extraordinaire! Your gardens are gorgeous.

Had to tweet your link again. That was too gorgeous not to share.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Gorgeous garden!
Thank you SO much!!

Hmmm. I think it’s 5 or 6 years old. It started getting really huge a few years ago. Its flowers are pretty too.
Wonderful! guess I better get those little guys out of their pots so they can start growing.

How lovely. I’m sure it must be good psychologically to have somewhere peaceful and beautiful like your garden to sit and think.

We have had a beautiful, almost freakish spring. I’m amazed at what’s blooming. My first peony opened today!!
